# Create Server Group

Server Groups are provided in the Cloudeka portal service which must be created first before creating an Instance/VM. Please note, if you fail to add a Security Group configuration to the Instance, make sure you have increased the Server Group limit via the Super Admin account.

The first step in creating a Server Group is to click the Instance menu.

* On the Instances page, press the **Server Group button.**
* Click the **Create Server Group.**
* The Create Server Group window appears, two columns are available, namely Name and Policy. For an explanation of the Policy, see sub-section [Server Group](https://docs.cloudeka.id/deka_flexi/deka_flexi_compute/security-group). Click the Add button to add the Server Group configuration.
* Wait until the process is complete and the notification **"New Server Group has been successfully created"** appears.
