Create a New Notebook

Create a New Deka Notebook is one of the features provided by the Service Portal Deka GPU to create a new Notebook. On the Service Portal Deka GPU page, select the Notebook menu to navigate to the Deka Notebook page. Press the "+ Create Deka Notebook" button to create a new Deka Notebook.

The Create Deka Notebook window will appear, containing several fields that you need to fill in to create a new Deka Notebook.

Enter the name that will be used to identify the Deka Notebook you are creating.

Select the namespace to be used. For more details about namespaces, refer to the Namespace Type subsection.

Select the container image to be used. In this guide, we use the Jupyter base notebook (latest).

Specify the Memory Size to be allocated in this guide, we use 8 Gi. This memory will be used to run computational processes such as model training, data processing, or executing the Jupyter kernel. The Storage Size used is 16 Gi. The storage size will be used to store notebook files, data, libraries, or the output generated from computational processes.

In the GPU Type section, select an available GPU type.

Specify the Purpose of Use and press the Submit button to create the Deka Notebook.

Wait for the process to complete and for the notification "Deka Notebook has been successfully created" to appear.
