# delete

The baremetal delete command deletes an existing bare metal server from your project. This command allows you to remove a specific bare metal instance by specifying its project ID and server name.

## Usage

```
cldkctl baremetal delete [flags]
```

## Aliases

```
delete, rm
```

## Steps

Follow the steps below to run and view the result of this command:

1. Ensure that you already have a valid **Project ID.** Refer to the Project List section to obtain your project ID.
2. Identify the **bare metal server name** that you want to delete. Refer to the Baremetal List section to find the server name.
3. Run the following command in your terminal:

```
cldkctl baremetal delete --project [project ID] --name [bare metal server name]
```

4. Replace `[project ID]` with your actual project ID and `[bare metal server name]` with the name of the instance you want to delete.
5. Once completed successfully, the terminal displays the success message **"Bare metal instance successfully deleted".**
