Before rebuilding, we recommend shutting down the instance gracefully from the operating system to help prevent data corruption. Rebuilding may permanently remove installed applications, custom configurations, and existing data inside the instance. To rebuild an instance, follow these steps: Go to the **Instance** page and select the instance you want to rebuild. Open the **Rebuild** menu, then click **Rebuild**.

After clicking **Rebuild**, the system displays the **Rebuild Instance** dialog. Select one of the available authentication methods to access the Rebuild instance. ### Method 1: Rebuild Using Password Select the **Password** option, enter a password in the **Create Password** field, and then click **Submit** to start the rebuild process.

After clicking **Submit**, the system displays a confirmation dialog. Enter the instance name in the provided field, and then click **I understand the consequences, rebuild this Instance** to start the rebuild process.

### Method 2: Rebuild Using SSH Keys After selecting **SSH Keys**, select an existing **SSH Key** from the list. If you have not added an SSH Key yet, click **Add New SSH Key** and complete the SSH Key creation process. After selecting or adding an **SSH Key**, click **Submit** to continue the rebuild process.

A notification appears indicating that the rebuild process has started.

Wait until the rebuild process is complete. A notification appears indicating that the instance has been successfully rebuild.
