# Create IPsec

To create IPsec you have to fill in several columns on the IPsec page including:

Here are the steps to create IPsec:

On the Network page, select the VPN tab, and select Configuration in the More column.

Select the IPsec tab and click the Create IPsec button.

In the Remote VPN section, fill in the IP address of the destination VPN project.

Press the Generate Pre-Shared Key button if you don't have a key yet, whereas if you already have the key from the target project, paste it into the Pre-Shared Key column.

Enter a description for the IPsec VPN connection in the **Description** field.

In the **Remote Subnet** field, enter the remote subnet IP address and select the appropriate **Network Size**.

In the **Description** field, enter a brief description for the remote subnet configuration, then click **Create** to create the IPsec VPN.

After clicking **Create**, the system displays the **"Creating IPSec configuration"** notification, indicating that the IPsec VPN creation process is in progress. Wait until the process is completed successfully.

Once the IPsec VPN is created successfully, you will be redirected to the **IPSec Detail** page. On this page, you can review the IPsec configuration, monitor the connection status, and manage the IPsec tunnel as needed.
