# Volumes

The **Volumes** menu is used to create and manage storage that can be accessed by containers running in a pod on the Service Portal Cloudeka. The Volumes menu provides features for creating and deleting volumes.

## Create New Volumes

**Create Volumes** is used to create Persistent Volumes (PV) or Persistent Volume Claims (PVC) that function as persistent storage for various components in the Service Portal Cloudeka, such as Notebooks, Pipelines, and other components that require consistent data storage. On the **Volumes** page, click the **+ New Volume** button.

<figure><img src="/files/qXVT64dfu7eQocxNqu1T" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The **New Volume** window appears. The fields that can be configured are **Name**, **Volume Size (Gi)**, **Storage Class**, and **Access Mode**. After completing all required fields in the **New Volume** window, click the **Create** button to create a new volume.
