# Prerequisites

To access and display container metrics in Kubernetes, several prerequisites are required. You must have a **`kubeconfig`** file to access your Kubernetes cluster and use **`kubectl`** to enable container metrics within it. In addition, make sure you have the provided **`URL`** and **`credentials`** to access and query the metric data.
