# Stop Deka Notebook Service

The **Stop Notebook** feature is available in Deka Notebook within the Service Portal Cloudeka and is used to stop a running notebook service to help optimize resource usage when the notebook is no longer in use.

On the Deka Notebook page, select the notebook you want to stop, then click the **Stop** button.

{% hint style="success" %}
This feature can only be used when the notebook status is **Running**, as indicated by the **RUNNING** label displayed on the notebook.
