# detail

The dns detail command displays detailed information about a specific DNS zone. This command requires the DNS zone ID.

## Usage

```
cldkctl dns detail [id] [flags]
```

## Steps

Follow the steps below to run and view the result of this command:

1. Run the following command in your terminal:

```
cldkctl dns detail [dns-zone-id]
```

2. Replace \[dns-zone-id] with the ID of the DNS zone. Refer to dns list section to obtain the DNS zone ID.
3. The terminal displays two sections: DNS Detail and DNS Records, which show complete configuration and record information for the selected DNS zone.

| Column       | Description                                            |
| ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| DNS Detail   |                                                        |
| Name         | The domain name of the DNS zone.                       |
| Status       | Indicates whether the DNS zone is Active or Inactive.  |
| Billing Type | The billing method used for the DNS zone.              |
| Custom NS    | Indicates whether custom nameservers are used.         |
| Created At   | Timestamp showing when the DNS zone was created.       |
| Updated At   | Timestamp showing when the DNS zone was last updated.  |
| Active NS    | Lists the active nameservers assigned to the DNS zone. |
| DNS Record   |                                                        |
| Name         | The record name under the DNS zone.                    |
| Type         | The DNS record type.                                   |
| TTL          | The Time-To-Live value for the record.                 |
| Content      | The record value or destination.                       |
