# edit

The cldkctl project edit command allows you to update the details of an existing project. Currently, this command supports editing the project description, which can be done either interactively (TUI mode) or by using flags (non-interactive mode).

## Usage

```
cldkctl project edit [id] [flags]
```

## Steps

Option 1 — Interactive Mode (TUI):

1. Identify the Project ID of the project you want to edit. Refer to the Project List section to view all Project IDs.
2. Run the command below with the target Project ID:

```
cldkctl project edit <project_id>
```

3. This will open an interactive token creation prompt in your terminal.
4. When prompted, fill in the Description field with the new project description.
5. After entering the new description, the interface will ask:

```
Save Project?
```

* Press Y to confirm.
* Press N to cancel the process.
* Press Shift + Tab to return to the previous field.

6. Once successful, the terminal displays “Project updated”.

Option 2 — Using Flags (Non-Interactive Mode):

1. If you prefer to update the description directly without entering the interactive prompt, use the flag:

```
cldkctl project edit [project_id] -d [description]
```

2. Once successful, the terminal displays “Project updated”.
