# delete

The cldkctl registry label delete command deletes a label from the container registry. This action removes the label entirely and disassociates it from any artifacts or repositories where it was previously applied. Once deleted, the label cannot be recovered. You may need to recreate it if used again.

## Usage

```
cldkctl registry label delete [label name] [flags]
```

## Aliases

```
delete, del, remove, rm
```

## Steps

Follow the steps below to run and view the result of this command:

1. Ensure that you are logged in. Refer to the Registry Login section.
2. Identify the label you want to delete. You can find it in the Registry Label List section.
3. Run the following command in your terminal:

```
cldkctl --registry [registry name] registry label delete [label name]
```

4. Replace \[registry name] with the target registry and \[label name] with the label you wish to delete.
5. Once successful, the terminal displays "✓ Registry label deleted".
