Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)
Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security method that requires more than one proof of identity during the user authentication process to protect access. In general, MFA combines multiple authentication factors, in the Service Portal AI using TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password). This guide will explain about enabling the MFA feature.
Enable Multi Factor Authentication
You cannot disable the MFA feature once you have enabled it. If you have not enabled this feature, you cannot use Service Portal AI.
Enable Multi-Factor Authenticator is one of the features available on the Service Portal AI to increase account security against hacking or data theft. After Multi Factor Authentication, you are required to go through the process of entering TOTP as an additional verification every time you log into the AI Portal Service. In the Service Portal AI, you can activate the MFA feature by select your account name and click My Profile.

You will be redirected to the Profile page. On the Multi-Factor Authentication section, there is Enroll New Code you can swipe right to enable the feature.

A Confirm Password window will appear. Ensure that the password entered matches the password you use to access the Service Porta AI. Click the Confirm button to enable Multi-Factor Authentication.

The screen will display as shown below. Make sure to securely save your account name and secret key as a backup in case you need them later.

In the next step, you can download an authentication app on your smartphone. This guide only demonstrates the use of Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator. For Android smartphone users, here are the links for Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator. For iOS smartphone users, here are the links for Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator.
