# edit

The cldkctl vm edit command updates virtual machine configurations such as CPU, memory, and storage settings. This command allows administrators to modify VM parameters in order to optimize performance and resource utilization.

## Usage

```
cldkctl vm edit [name] [flags]
```

## Steps

Follow the steps below to run and view the result of this command:

1. Run the following command in your terminal and replace \<vm\_name> with your virtual machine name

```
cldkctl vm edit <vm_name>
```

2. The terminal will open an interactive configuration editor that allows you to modify parameters such as CPU, memory, and storage.
3. Use the arrow keys or Tab to navigate through the available fields and update values as needed.
4. After making changes, confirm the update by pressing Enter or following the on-screen instructions.
5. Once the update is successful, a confirmation message will appear in the terminal indicating that the VM configuration has been successfully updated.
