# delete

The cldkctl registry tag delete command removes an existing tag immutability rule from the container registry. Once deleted, tags that were previously protected by this rule can be modified or deleted without restriction.

## Usage

```
cldkctl registry tag delete [rule ID] [flags]
```

## Aliases

delete, del, remove, rm
```

## Steps

Follow the steps below to run and view the result of this command:

1. Ensure that you are logged in. Refer to the Registry Login section.
2. Run the following command in your terminal:

```
cldkctl --registry [registry name] registry tag delete [rule ID]
```

3. To retrieve the list of rule IDs, refer to the Registry Tag List section.
4. Replace `[registry name]` with the target registry and `[rule ID]` with the ID of the immutability rule you want to delete.
5. Once successful, the terminal displays **"✓ Registry tag immutability rule deleted"**
