# enable

The cldkctl registry tag enable command re-enables a previously disabled tag immutability rule in the container registry. When enabled, the rule once again prevents tags that match its criteria from being modified or deleted, protecting important container images from accidental changes.

## Usage

```
cldkctl registry tag enable [rule ID] [flags]
```

## Steps

Follow the steps below to run and view the result of this command:

1. Ensure that you are logged in. Refer to the Registry Login section.
2. Run the following command in your terminal:

```
cldkctl --registry [registry name] registry tag enable [rule ID]
```

3. To view the list of existing immutability rules and retrieve their IDs, refer to the Registry Tag List section.
4. Replace `[registry name]` with the target registry and `[rule ID]` with the ID of the rule you want to enable.
5. Once successful, the terminal displays "✓ Registry tag immutability rule enabled".
