# bucket-delete

The box bucket-delete command deletes a bucket from a specific object storage instance. This command permanently removes the selected bucket and its data from the object storage.

## Usage

```
cldkctl box bucket-delete [flags]
```

## Aliases

bucket-delete, bucket-rm
```

## Steps

Follow the steps below to run and view the result of this command:

1. View the list of existing buckets to find the Bucket Name and Object Storage ID. Refer to the Box Bucket List section.
2. Run the following command in your terminal:

```
cldkctl box bucket-delete --name <bucket-name> <object-storage-id>
```

3. Replace `<bucket-name>` with the name of the bucket you want to delete and `<object-storage-id>` with the ID of the corresponding object storage.
4. Once completed successfully, a message **“✓ Successfully deleted bucket object storage!”** will appear in your terminal.
