# disable-ipsec

The vpn disable ipsec command allows you to disable the IPSec configuration of a VPN instance. This command temporarily deactivates the IPSec connection while keeping the configuration data intact, so it can be re-enabled later when needed.

## Usage

```
cldkctl vpn disable-ipsec [flags]
```

## Steps

Follow the steps below to run and view the result of this command:

1. Run the following command in your terminal:

```
cldkctl vpn disable-ipsec [flags]
```

2. Enter your VPN instance name in the **VPN Name** field. You can refer to **vpn list** to obtain or verify your VPN instance name.
3. Enter the public IP address of your VPN in the **IP Public** field.
4. Enter the IPSec description in the **Description IPSec** field. Refer to **vpn list-ipsec** to ensure the description matches the existing IPSec configuration.
5. Confirm the process by pressing **y** for Confirm or **n** for Cancel.

6. Once successful, the terminal displays **"✓ User OpenVPN successfully deleted".**
