# configmap

The delete configmap command removes a specified ConfigMap from the Kubernetes cluster. Deleting a ConfigMap removes the stored configuration data, which may affect workloads depending on it.

## Usage

```
cldkctl delete configmap [name] [flags]
```

## Steps

Follow the steps below to run and view the result of this command:

1. If you want to view the list of ConfigMaps before deleting, refer to the get configmap section.
2. Run the following command in your terminal:

```
./cldkctl delete configmap [configmap-name]
```

3. Replace `[configmap-name]` with the name of the Configmap you want to delete.
4. Once completed successfully, a message **“✓ ConfigMap deleted”** will appear in your terminal.
