persistentvolume

The delete persistentvolume command removes a specified Persistent Volume (PV) from the Kubernetes cluster. Deleting a PV does not necessarily delete the underlying storage. Ensure that the volume is no longer in use before deletion to prevent data loss.

Usage

cldkctl delete persistentvolume [name] [flags]

Steps

Follow the steps below to run and view the result of this command:

  1. If you want to view the list of Persistent Volumes before deleting, refer to the get persistentvolume section.

  2. Run the following command in your terminal:

./cldkctl delete persistentvolume [persistentvolume-name]
  1. Replace [persistentvolume-name] with the name of the Persistent Volume you want to delete.

  2. Once completed successfully, a message “✓ Persistent volume deleted” will appear in your terminal.
