# service

The delete service command removes a specified Service from the Kubernetes cluster. This command deletes the Service but does not remove associated pods or endpoints. Ensure that no dependent applications rely on this Service before deletion.

## Usage

```
cldkctl delete service [name] [flags]
```

## Steps

Follow the steps below to run and view the result of this command:

1. If you want to view the list of Services before deleting, refer to the get service section.
2. Run the following command in your terminal:

```
cldkctl delete service [service-name]
```

3. Replace `[service-name]` with the name of the Service you want to delete.
4. Once completed successfully, a message **“✓ Service deleted”** will appear in your terminal.
