# role

The delete role command removes a specified Role from the Kubernetes cluster. Deleting a Role revokes the associated permissions from users or service accounts.

## Usage

```
cldkctl delete role [name] [flags]
```

## Steps

Follow the steps below to run and view the result of this command:

1. If you want to view the list of Roles before deleting, refer to the get role section.
2. Run the following command in your terminal:

```
cldkctl delete role [role-name]
```

3. Replace `[role-name]` with the name of the Role you want to delete.
4. Once completed successfully, a message **“✓ Role deleted”** will appear in your terminal.
