# deployment

The delete deployment command removes a specified deployment from the Kubernetes cluster. This command deletes the deployment and its associated pods. If the deployment has active replicas, they will be terminated.

## Usage

```
cldkctl delete deployment [name] [flags]
```

## Steps

Follow the steps below to run and view the result of this command:

1. If you want to view the list of Deployments before deleting, refer to the get deployment section.
2. Run the following command in your terminal:

```
cldkctl delete deployment [deployment-name]
```

3. Replace `[deployment-name]` with the name of the Deployment you want to delete.
4. Once completed successfully, a message **“✓ Deployment deleted”** will appear in your terminal.
